Amber Jones aka "DaggerStar" is an afro-latina freelance illustrator and 2D animator located in upstate New York. She graduated from Pratt Institute in 2016 with her BFA in 2D Animation but has worked on numerous indie comics properties since then, as well as work for Dark Horse.

Her work features BIPOC women in their own action narratives and takes inspiration from years of consuming anime and western superhero comics and getting bored of the main characters. Outside of freelance, she makes sure she's always working on personal projects; her comics "Spirit Pizza" and "Sandia" are both on Webtoon and resuming sometime in 2021.
